Josh Loyo, Performance Specialist, co-founded Fore Fitness in 2014 with the vision to transform a golfer into a well-maintained athlete. Josh has combined his passion for golf and background in golf swing kinematics to bring every golfer to a new level of performance. Golf is more than the swing you bring or the clubs you use — it is the machine you move them with… your BODY!
Josh graduated from UC Riverside, with a Bachelor’s in Biological Science and received his Physical Therapy Assistant License in 2010. His passion and expertise on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and strengthening programs has earned international recognition on the Olympic level.
Josh, a Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified Fitness Professional, trains golfers of all levels, including Juniors to tour professionals competing on the PGA and LPGA tour. Josh believes that a strong golf foundation begins with improving your ability to maintain balance, flexibility, mobility, stability and strength. Whether you are a weekend warrior or a professional athlete, Josh will create a program that will take your golf game to the next level!
Ken Mengel – Co-Founder, Director Arcadia

Ken Mengel, Performance Specialist, co-founded Fore Fitness in 2014 with the goal of combining his love for golf and knowledge of the human body to create the ultimate piece of golf equipment: a strong, healthy athlete. Ken is a professional in health and wellness and has been working with athletes for the past twenty years ranging from the recreational to professional, Olympic contenders and an Olympic gold medalist.
Born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley, Ken received his Bachelor’s in Biology from Whittier College and went on to earn his Masters in Physical Therapy from USC in 1994. Ken has taught Kinesiology at Western University and continues to lecture, instruct, and mentor future Physical Therapists. Ken’s passion for health and wellness lead him to the Chinese Olympic Committee where he works with the Olympic trainers and health professionals in China to rehabilitate and strengthen their athletes.
Ken firmly believes that an athlete’s foundation should be based on optimizing balance, speed and strength. As a Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified Fitness Professional, you can rest assured that the individualized assessments and performance programs established by Ken are based on the most up to date, sound research and on-course performance measures in the game!
Bethany Loyo – Movement Specialist, City of Industry
TPI Level 1 Fitness, Nutrition Specialist
Bethany joined the Fore Fitness team in February of 2018 and brings with her over two decades of coaching experience and fitness experience. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from Cal State Fullerton in 2009, became ACE Certified in 2014, and is TPI LV1 certified. She has experience in physical therapy and understands the importance of rehabilitation through functional movement, as well as gaining flexibility and stability through fitness. She began her career as a personal trainer in 2007 and, in her 11 years of experience, has worked with youth, high school and college athletes, as well as the general population.
Bethany has extensive experience in rotational movement sports such as gymnastics (AAU Gold Medalist/National Champion- All Around), hockey, and soccer, both as an athlete and coach, as well as personal training experience with persons affected by Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, Cerebral Palsy, and rehabilitation from Stroke. From her experience, she specializes in balance training and core stability, and enjoys building a fitness foundation for youth, in hopes they will continue to value fitness in their adult years.
In 2014, Bethany received her diploma in Nutrition from the Shaw Academy and values the importance of nutrition for prestige athletic performance. She has worked with clients who were looking to lose weight, wanted to learn to eat clean, needed to establish eating habits to help with autoimmune, metabolic, and hormonal diseases, and clients who wanted a better nutrition plan for optimal athletic performance. Regardless of age, skill level, or fitness level, Bethany will design a program for you that will not only improve your golf swing, but will also improve your daily life.
Brandon Smith – Educational Sports Psychologist /Movement Specialist, City of Industry
Doctor of Sport Psychology, Master of Sport Science, NSCA-CPT, TPI -Lv1, FMT – L3
Brandon is a Doctor of Sport & Performance Psychology, as well as having three other college degrees in Kinesiology and Exercise Science, and highly recognized certifications through the NSCA as well as Titleist Performance Institute.
Brandon is a Human Performance Specialist and has worked with world and nationally ranked tennis players and golfers. Brandon believes the body develops ailments and disfigurations through overexertion and muscle imbalances. Also, the body is only as good as the mentality behind it. Eliminating mental flaws in your game will ultimately change the way you play. Correcting the body as a “whole” is what creates physical health and optimizes human performance.
With his individualized approach to functional strength training and mental preparation, Brandon can transform any body of any type, and of any age or fitness level.
